After my 9 hour shift at the pharmacy today, going to the gym was the last thing I wanted to do. In fact, I pretty much just wanted to do this:
Since I had already changed into my workout clothes and snacked (BTW chocoloate chip cookie dough Larabars are my new fave) I finally convinced myself to get my lazy butt out of bed.
I had to put on my boots and brave the dark and snowy weather to get myself there. I am THAT hardcore.
(Wow, that is really not a very flattering picture of my leg. Ha.)
Ok, maybe I didn't have to brave that much snow. Just the whole 10 feet from the garage to my car.
Random story: While I was in the middle of my workout, I walked by the front desk and noticed the girl working the front desk had a MASSIVE plate of green beans in front of her. I just remember thinking, "wow, that's a LOT of green beans." 10 minutes later, I walked by again, and the plate was practically empty! I stopped and said, "omg. Did you just eat ALL of those green beans for dinner?" She replied, "well, I had some chicken too." I just stared in awe.
I then proceeded to talk with her about her diet (she's training/dieting/losing weight for the local bodybuilding competition coming up in April, which I just may have to make a trip up for) and what she's doing with her carb intake etc etc. I told her how this stuff really interests me, but I could never actually compete in something like that because a) I have too much weight to lose/skin to be sliced off and b) I am really bad at dieting and could never stick to a contest diet like that. Anyways, it was kind of fun chatting with her and it got me really excited for The Arnold, which I am going to with a couple friends in March :)
Have a good night everyone, I'm about to hit up the bar with my dad. (Wow, did I really just say that?)
