Stuffed Like A Turkey

That's pretty much how I feel right now. Oh, but it was so good. So, so so good.

After working all day, I was definately ready for a feast when I got home.

Appetizers while we we waited for Courts to get off work:

Spiced wine (after I drank most of the glass) and an almond cookie (after I ate half of it)

The Spread:

Ham, roasted brocolli, twice baked potatoes, homemade corn bread with honey butter, spinach salad, potato salad, and sweet potato casserole. HOLY YUM.

 My plate:

I ate everything except the sweet potato casserole. Although it's one of my favorite dishes, I was getting super full and had to save room for the out-of-this-world dessert that is coming up ;) However, I couldn't get enough of this homemade corn bread with honey butter. I went back for a second piece.

It had like peppers or something in it. All I know is that my mom made it and it was some damn good cornbread.

Some snapshots from the night:

My house is apparently freezing now. I spent many long moments in front of the fireplace with Ashley.

What's that? Time for dessert?

Get ready for this.

EPIC.

So, how does a girl decide between homemade cheesecake AND homemade pecan pie?

Duh.

No surprise there ;)

Or there.

Hope you all are having a wonderful Christmas. Happy Holidays from the Bergs :)
