Winter Break + Blogging Frustrations

It's officially winter break, and I couldn't be happier to just relax and not worry about school for the next three weeks.

We got things started out right on Thursday after our last exam.

I took a risk and ordered a banana margarita, yes I said banana, and was pleasantly surprised at how yummy it was. I can't explain it, but it just was. Aimee agreed with me and Eric didn't even try it [not surprised].

We then headed to the Kappa Psi house for the annual Christmas party, which was a ton of fun as usual. We crashed on the couch there that night and I woke up early yesterday morning and hit the road for home. It feels good to be back :)

Since I've started eating healthier, I've realized that I really took advantage of my mom's cooking when I was growing up, especially when I was a teenager. I wouldn't touch hardly anything she made because it was "organic" (that meant it was gross), but now every time I come home I literally inhale the food that she cooks. Lunch AND dinner yesterday was this amazing creation:

Homemade organic cheesey pineapple pizza!

I also had a salad with avocado, dried cherries, and sunflower seeds and a small bowl of canteloupe. I had pictures of the entire meal, but I am having a lot of trouble uploading pictures into this blog. It keeps rotating them and resizing them and I'm actually getting really irritated but I'm sick of messing with it tonight. I'm suddenly remembering why I stopped using this blog after my first post...

However, regardless of the technical difficulties that I am having, I chose to start using this blog instead of SparkPeople for two main reasons: 1) I want my friends to be able to comment on it and you can't leave any comments on SparkPeople if you're not a member and 2) I really don't use any of the features of SparkPeople except the blog, so I'm not sure why I even had a page. If you want to catch up on my blogs for the last month, here's the link to my SparkPeople page. Blogger really does have a lot of neat features, I just don't know how to use them yet. Eric will have to teach me how to use it I'll figure it out eventually :)

That's all I got for now, I'm exhausted from working my first 10 hour shift in forever. So excited to do it all over again tomorrow, minus 2 hours.

Hope everyone is having a great break so far.

P.S. Comment away :)

  4. I haven't tried wordpress. I looked at it a couple months ago but ended up going with blogger. I'm starting to get the hang of it, and I've already spent too much time setting this up to move now :)
