After hitting the gym this afternoon for a quick upper body lift, I was way excited to come home and make this Chicken and Black Bean Chili that I found in the latest Muscle and Fitness Hers:
Side note: I LOVE this magazine. I anxiously await it's arrival every two months and then devour the entire thing within days. Even if you're not into lifting weights, it still has lots of great tips, recipes, and work out ideas.
For someone who doesn't cook very often, nothing makes you feel more grown up than choppin' up onions and peppers for your own homemade chili ;)
Plus doing all those other chef-like things, like cooking them.
And then turning them into chili.

Hmm...I suppose those pajamas aren't very chef-like. I never said I was a pro!

The recipe said to garnish with a little sour cream as well, but I wasn't really in the mood. Plus I sort of didn't have any.
Final verdict? Not bad, but I've definately had better chili (i.e. my mom's pumpkin chili..wowza!). Don't think I'll be making this one again.
