Last week, I weighed 172.6. This morning, I weighed:
After the weekend that I had, I'm not complaining about that. Still got some major work to do though, so let's keep it up.
--------------------------------------------------------------
Yesterday, I started getting that pre-sore throat "aura." You know, that feeling that you're going to be getting sick soon but you're not actually sick yet? Well, I never actually got a sore throat, but I was still up tossing and turning all night. I woke up completely exhausted and wanting to stay in bed all day, but we all know that's not an option for a pharmacy student.
Somehow I made it to the gym and miraculously ran 4 miles on the treadmill. By the time I started running I had started to get congested and I seriously felt like I was going to fall asleep the entire time. I have no idea how I got through it, but I just kept the pace nice and slow (finished in 41:35) and thought about how mad at myself I would be if I quit. I also pretended like I was on Biggest Loser and Jillian was standing next to me yelling. Hey, ya gotta do what ya gotta do ;)
And what's a post without pictures of my food?
Pre-workout breakfast:
Scrambled eggs with 1 whole egg and 3 egg whites, a cinnamon raisin english muffin, and blueberries.
Post-workout fuel:
In the shake:
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/4 cup vanilla yogurt
- 1/2 banana
- 1 scoop chocolate coconut protein powder
Some more of today's eats:
Salad
Larabar
1/2 banana + AB
I think this qualifies for Jennifer's What I Ate Wednesday Link Party over at Peas & Crayons ;)

Off to get my study on!
How do you get yourself through a work-out when you don't feel like exercising?

Great job sticking out the run! I dont really have any tricks for getting through a workout--usually I just try to distract myself and think about how much better i'll feel when its done. Other times I just stop early, somethings better than nothing right?!
ReplyDeleteYum - chocolate coconut protein powder sounds delicious! What brand is that?
ReplyDeleteWhen Im trying to get through a workout I think about my clothes. Clothes fitting looser, clothes I'd like to wear, etc. It gets the job done. :D The food looks great!
ReplyDeleteSara~
I tend to visualize my goal and that gets me through my workout when I'm not in the mood.
ReplyDeleteGreat work for completing your workout.
Woo good job!! Haha - i have used Jillian as motivation before! And also blogging - i think "Ok, so am i going to blog about how i didn't work out, or how i DID work out?" :)
ReplyDeletemy hubby is sick right now too, so be on your guard girl!! Keep that nasty sickness away!
ReplyDeleteI usually motivate myself through imagining myself on the soccer field. It may be weird, but when I picture the game I suddenly want to push harder.
