After my run I hit the road for Battle Creek. Munched on a banana and carrots + hummus on the way:
I was so glad I made these last minute plans with Pam. I've made the trip down here 3 or 4 times in the last couple months and we've had SO much fun.
We went to dinner at Ruby Tuesday and major salad bar domination occured.
My salad consisted of spinach + mixed greens with cucumber, shredded carrot, a sprinkle of cheese, black olives, dried cranberries, sunflower seeds, a few croutons, and balsamic plus a scoop of cottage cheese on the side.
Pam enjoyed hers with a tasty margarita but I went sans alcohol tonight because I've been drinking more than usual lately and I need to watch it ;) Besides that, we all know that alcohol packs lots of empty calories and I have some weight to lose!
I ordered the chicken bella for my meal with all veggie sides:
It was delicious, minus the fact that the brocolli was absolutely drenched in butter. The grilled green beans made up for it though :)
After dinner, we went to the casino that Pam used to work at. I got my greedy face on and plopped down at a slot machine.
We each went in with $20 to spend -- I feel that it is VERY important to have a set amount of cash that you are going to spend at the casino and once it's gone, it's gone. Pam picked a lucky machine and she doubled her money almost instantly!
Unfortunately I was not that lucky and lost all of my money in about 5 minutes. Lame.
Ah well, ya win some, ya lose some, right?
Do you like to gamble? What's the most money you've ever won at the casino before?
I don't gamble very often, but once at the casino I won about $30 on a slot machine. I was stoked!
