Sorry for the whiny post yesterday. I assure you I am back on track, have stayed well within my calorie limit for the day, and had a great lift before work and a great run after work. (Can I get a holler for hitting the gym twice in one day?!) Also, I creeped onto the scale this morning and it didn't make me want to crawl into a hole and die. That's big considering how much I've eaten over the last three days. Apparently if you ski for 8 hours a day and spend 3 hours climbing up the stairs to the tops of waterslides at an indoor waterpark, you can eat whatever you want!
An entire quesadilla filled with chicken, bacon and three different kinds of cheese? Um, yes please.
Delicious calorie-loaded alcoholic beverage? Don't mind if I do.
Mom's homemade ham pizza? Get in mah belly now.
Not pictured: The half of a cheese pizza that I devoured Thursday night AFTER my quesadilla, the humongous bowl of peanut butter banana oatmeal I ate yesterday afternoon, the five spoonfuls of peanut butter I ate while my oatmeal was cooking, the bread and honey I ate after my oatmeal, and the Dove bar I ate on my way back to Grand Rapids last night.
We all have our off days.
Be sure to check out my new banner! Some guy I know named Eric Roath made it. He's pretty much a genious with Photoshop and I don't know what I'm going to do when he's not around anymore to make me sweet backgrounds for my computer, banners for my blog, and whatever else I nag him to do.
I guess that's why God created email ;)
Thank you, Eric, for my awesome banner!
Chobani was kind enough to send me this sampler pack featuring a couple of their newest flavors:
Dear Chobani, you rock my world.
I tried the new lemon flavor this morning and it was glorious. There was actual lemon zest in the yogurt, which was something I've never seen in other lemon flavored yogurts. Delish.
I enjoyed it with a piece of toast and a banana:
I don't talk about work too often on the blog, but for those who don't know I'm an intern at a retail pharmacy. I've worked there for over four years now and I love my job. This morning I got to run a diabetes clinic at the store and I did sixteen glucose screenings over the course of two hours! It was a lot of fun and I just wanted to share that with you guys :)
Here's more pictures from our ski trip!
Oh heck yes we went down that double black diamond.
Also, a day is not complete if I don't slip and fall on my ass at least once.
Phew. That's enough for one day.
What are (or were because most of you are probably out having a life right now) your Saturday night plans?
Now that I'm done updating my own blog, I'll be spending the rest of my night reading all of yours. I know, BIG PLANS.
