Homeward Bound

Well, I was homeward bound, now I'm just home :)

After a stressful day of class and an exam on autoimmune diseases (I passed!), I was more than ready to hit the road for Traverse City.

Road food to tame the beast of a stomach that God blessed me with:

I had an orange and a banana and plan on munching on the rest of the fruit over the weekend.

I arrived in Traverse City and stopped at Oryana to pick up some din din for my dad, sister and myself (my Mom's currently in Arizona visiting family). Oryana is the local health food store and it rocks. With no Whole Foods anywhere near here and the closest Trader Joe's being 4.5 hours away in Detroit, we're glad to have Oryana. Would you believe that I've never even been to Whole Foods OR Trader Joe's? It's sad, but true.

I ordered sandwiches from their cafe plus sides of salmon salad and tofu salad.

I'm really not a fan of tofu (it kind of freaks me out) but the salmon salad was awesomesauce.

I've gotten a total 11 hours of shut eye between the last two nights (ahem, thank you pharmacy school) so the only thing on my agenda tonight is sleep. It's going to be awesome, I can't wait.

Ashley said she wants to hang out with me first though.

Curious about her scrunched ear? Click here for the story.

Have a great night friends :)

P.S.

Eric is currently in Seattle right now and he posted this picture of his dinner yesterday on Facebook in honor of me:

He really is my best friend.
