We went to one of my favorite Italian restaraunts, Pietro's, for dinner tonight. I ordered my all time-favorite meal and their most popular item:

Holy amazeballs. So. good.

Now before you go all judgemental on me for ordering alfredo, you should know that I totally exercised self control and ate only half of it. I'm not sure if you are aware of my eating capabilities and my love for food but that is a HUGE accomplishment for me.

Oh, and btw even though I did only eat half of it, I made no claims of this meal keeping me within my calorie limit and I do not recommend it for others who are trying to lose weight.

That being said...

After dinner I came home and did what any person on a diet would do after eating a big plate of alfredo: I made banana bread. In my defense, I have been planning to make this bread all week because I've had a bunch of overly ripe bananas in my freezer that are taking up space and I can't just throw them out! Duh. I used this recipe and followed it to a tee.

Also, I have come to the conclusion that un-thawed bananas are quite possibly one of the nastiest things I've ever seen and I can't believe that I am actually using them to cook something edible.

mmmm...mush.

While I baked, my roommates did perfectly normal things.

Didn't you know that this is how all serious pharmacy graduate students entertain themselves?

Off to get some rest, we've got a race in the morning!

Anyone else racing this weekend? Good luck if you are!
