So, it's been a lovely spring day up here in Northern Michigan:
Yes, I really did take that photo this morning and yes, it really is almost May. What can ya do?
Since my motivation to go running died when I woke up to this winter wonderland, I got creative with my workout this morning. I ended up turning my parents' basement full of random exercise equipment into my own personal gym and used it to do a circuit routine.
The circuit I did (I made this up myself):
I repeated the circuit three times with a couple of minutes of rest between each circuit. It took me about 20 minutes to finish, which is a little faster than I would have liked. Ideally, I would like a circuit to take me about 10 minutes to complete so I can get a full 30 minute workout by the time I'm done. Regardless, I was still sweatin' my balls off when I finished! I ended my work-out with 45 minutes on the stationary bike.
In other news, I ended up spending most of my evening at the vet's office. My poor kitty has asthma and chronic allergies and she's been sneezing, snoring, and hacking up all kinds of goodies lately so we took her to get checked.
Doesn't she look so sad?
The vet took another lung x-ray (she gets these quite frequently) and thank goodness, her lungs look great. They gave her a couple of shots (a steroid and an antibiotic) because those have always worked in the past when her allergies are crazy and then they sent us on our way. Hopefully she starts to feel better soon because it makes me sad when she's so sick :(

Some eats from today:
Whole grain toast with one tablespoon (So proud that I didn't eat half the jar!!!) of cashew butter and a banana.
Organic chicken burger with colby-jack cheese, lettuce, ketchup, mustard, and light mayo:
And dinner was a fabulous roasted chicken and veggies that Mommy Dearest made:
I'm off to blog stalk, have a good night friends!
Question for you:
Do you ever make up at-home circuit work-outs? What about other at-home routines? Please share!!
This was actually the first circuit work-out I've ever made up. I love the cardio/lifting combo and time flies when you're doing it!
