Pam's Bridal Shower

Ah, another Monday, another week :)

I've been doing my best to make the most of my least favorite day of the week, but first let's backtrack to yesterday. After I finished bloggin' (by the way, your comments made me so happy), I headed to Battle Creek for my friend Pam's bridal shower. She looked so cute and was all smiles the whole time :)

My tummy was grumbling big time by the time I got there, but luckily lunch was the first item on the agenda. They had a wonderful little spread and all of the food was delicious. Dishes included quiche, chicken salad, fruit salad, rolls, and cheese and crackers.

Oh, and THESE mini cheesecakes.

I didn't have any of them (partly because of yesterday's weigh-in and partly because I really wanted a slice of cake...) but I heard they were amazing.

My plate:

After lunch it was time for games and presents, and Pam got some good loot! I'm jealous of how well-stocked her kitchen is going to be...

After she finished opening all of her gifts, it was cake time! The cake was gorgeous:

And quite tasty as well :)

It was a fun shower, and it was so nice to see Pam again. The next time I see her will be her wedding day! I can't wait.

..............................................

Meatballs.

I've had a pretty busy day today! I was up bright and early again for my IPPE. Breakfast was another bagelwich and lunch was another salad that both looked just like the ones in this post. After my IPPE, I hit the gym and did the exact same work-out I did last Monday. I worked really hard at my lifting today, hopefully I'll see some muscles soon ;)

After my work-out I came home and used Jessica's meatball recipe to make some turkey meatballs for dinner. I followed it exactly, with the exception of using extra lean ground turkey instead of beef and asiago cheese instead of romano. I also didn't cook them in pasta sauce, but they still turned out great!

I combined them with some whole wheat pasta and organic pasta sauce for an easy and yummy dinner.

Foodgasms occurred.

I cooked enough pasta for two more dinners and put the rest of the meatballs in the freezer for the next time I'm craving spaghetti :)

Well, it's almost my bedtime now so I'm going to go relax for a little while and then hit the sack. Have a great night everyone!

P.S. Did you catch my "eat like a guy and lose weight" post? I loved reading the comments!
