Home Gym Envy

Why hello there, happy almost-Friday :)

Hope you're all having a rockin' Thursday. My day started off with a delicious smoothie:




My smoothie contained:

  • 1/2(ish) cup frozen cherries
  • Black cherry Chobani
  • 1 scoop strawberry protein powder
  • Handful of fresh organic spinach
  • Splash of milk
I followed my breakfast off with a little of this:
(Currently reading Crazy Sexy Diet) After chillaxing by the pool for a little while, I made myself this lovely little lunch:
Leftover turkey meatball pizza plus a spinach salad with avocado, dried cherries and walnuts.
SO GOOD. Eventually I dragged myself to the gym and did another glute work-out. For the record, I haven't been able to walk straight since Tuesday's work-out but I know that the best way for me to overcome muscle soreness is to just work right through it. Hurts now but it'll be worth it! Like Tuesday's, today's work-out was also based off a routine in Muscle and Fitness Hers. I tweaked it a little and in the end it looked like this:
Yes, it was as hard as it looks ;) I was going to do some cardio afterwards but I nixed that idea after making last minute plans to go visit Jenny. I was stoked to go see her and wanted to get my butt out of the gym and on the road as quickly as possible! Post-workout/road food:
She lives about an hour and a half away so it was kind of a long drive, but at least it was a beautiful day out!
And now I'm in Stevensville hanging out in Jenny's GORGEOUS house. Btw I want one of these in my house:
Not sure why I rushed through my work-out at the gym, I could have just worked out here!
(Of course I had a photo shoot in her home gym, duh. Would you expect anything less of me?) We're off to dinner and a movie now, enjoy your evening and I'll see ya tomorrow! Do you work out at home or have home gym equipment? I can make up work-outs to do at home if I have to, but since we don't have too much equipment I much prefer to be at the gym. I have become way too dependent on having access to all of the different machines and weights and I base all my work-outs around them. However, as I mentioned earlier I would LOVE to exercise at home eventually when I can afford all that awesome stuff :)
