Hey folks! Guess what? Yesterday I stayed within my calorie budget for the first time in FOR-EV-ER. I’m so proud of myself!
Now I just need to do it again today. And tomorrow. And the next day. And the next day…and maybe I’ll actually drop a couple of el-bees instead of gaining them like I have been the last few months.
Don’t judge me. Nobody’s perfect.
Anyways, this is going to be another quick before-work update. I have to close tonight (blah) so I will probably not be posting again later. This morning I woke up and had a bowl of Kashi Go Lean! Crunch with 1/2 a banana:
Then I hit the gym and did a back and biceps workout followed by a 2.0 mile run on the treadmill and 10 minutes on the rowing machine. Since I slack so much on my diet, I always try to (sort of) make up for it by working my butt off at the gym!
After the gym I went to McLain Cycle and Fitness to pick up my bike (I broke another spoke, so annoying).
I haven’t ridden in weeks (not since I did yoga on the Musketawa) and I can’t wait to go on some long rides soon. My schedule has been kind of crazy since I’ve been home, but it should slow down during the last couple weeks of July before my rotation starts in August.
Lunch was a leftover meatball sub (BTW, I said yesterday that they were turkey meatballs but they’re actually chicken. So good!!)
Plus a spinach salad:
(dried cherries, walnuts, sunflower seeds with raspberry walnut dressing)
I also packed up some dinner for my break at work later today. Yesterday my mom bought some organic spinach dip from Oryana so I spread some on Everything Bagel Thin along with some turkey and spinach to make a yummy little sandwich.
Plus some strawberries and corn:
Mmmm..looking forward to dinner already
