Hello from Traverse City! With some major help from my dad and Eric (thank you so much guys!!) I managed to successfully move all my crap back home to my parents house in TC today, where I’ll be living until October. I’m going to save that for another post, so for now let’s back track to last night!
Our friend Sarah (you may remember her from tubing last week) is moving to Kentucky to start pharmacy school and last night she had a going away party at her brother’s house in Saginaw. On the way there, I made Eric go through the Wendy’s drive-thru because I’ve been out of produce for 4 days (and haven’t bought more because of moving) and I was having serious salad withdrawals. Sounds completely ridiculous, but it’s true! I was majorly craving some greens.
BTW, the new Berry Almond Chicken Salad is amazing. I think I might like it better than their Apple Pecan Chicken Salad, which is my absolute favorite.
When we arrived in Saginaw, I made fast friends with quite possibly the cutest dog in the entire world.
Meet Sadie everyone! (What is it with cute dogs named Sadie??)
After some quality bonding time with Sadie, Eric and I took the paddle boat out around the pond. I’ve decided I want one of these at my house.
Then it was munchie time. I had numerous small plates of all kinds of different goodies through-out the night.
Chips and dip:
And a (very tasty) beer:
Not exactly the model of healthy, but we all know how I like to cut myself some slack on the weekends (or whenever I feel like it, for that matter ;) ).
We spent the rest of the night hanging out with Sarah and her friends. It was a ton of fun and I’m so glad I got to see her off before she starts this new chapter of her life :)
Good luck Sarah, we’ll miss you so much!!
I’m off to start unpacking and enjoy my first night back in Traverse. See ya tomorrow!
