Totally Drained

For all of you folks who work ten hour shifts or more on a regular basis, you people are animals. Like for serious, kudos to you. Today will be my third ten hour day in a row, and I already feel totally drained! Maybe it’s because my pharmacy is so busy that I literally run around non-stop handling six different problems at once while trying to answer the phone and take care of the drive-thru all at the same time, but it’s exhausting! I am already looking forward to having next week off :)

 

I got home later than usual last night because I had a doctor’s appointment, and even though I had inhaled a veggie burger on the way there I was hungry again (as predicted) when I finally arrived back at my house. My mom had made my favorite vegetarian lasagna “roll-ups” so I had a small plate of those:

I resisted the urge to go to Dairy Lodge with my mom and sister, but I’m not sure I can keep that willpower going for much longer. This sweet tooth needs to be tamed!

 

I spent the rest of my night doing what I usually do after a long day of work: chilling with Ashley and catching up on blogs.

Breakfast

I ended up skipping a work-out this morning, opting to sleep in an extra hour. My legs have been sore for over a week now (it’s like they never recovered from my first glute work-out), I was super tired, and I honestly haven’t been feeling well the last couple days. I really needed that extra sleep, and while I wish I could say I feel great and it was worth it, I’m actually still really tired. Yuck.

I’m not sure if it’s because I wasn’t as hungry as I usually am in the mornings, but today I had a really hard time deciding what to eat for breakfast. I literally walked back and forth from the kitchen to the cupboard sampling things trying to decide what sounded good (who samples things from their own kitchen?) After a dip into the cashew butter jar my decision was made: another bowl of cashew butter oatmeal.

In the bowl:

  • 1/2 cup oats
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 banana
  • 2 Tbsp Naturally Nutty cinnamon cashew butter
  • walnuts

 

Once again, I apologize for the lame and boring posts lately, but I really just have nothing to blog about when I work all day! I’m going to have to figure out a solution to this problem, because it’s not going to be any different once I start rotations. Let me know if you have any ideas/suggestions/requests!
