Hey guys, my apologies for the lack of real blogging the last couple days! I have been SO swamped with work, plus I’m trying to get ready for the start of my first pharmacy rotation on August 1st. The weekend is going to be jam-packed as well, but no complaints here
Yesterday’s workout started out with this shoulder routine:
Followed by 30 minutes of cardio on the Arc Trainer.
I really, REALLY did not want to work out yesterday morning. I haven’t been sleeping well the last couple of nights and yesterday I ended up shutting my alarm off. However, I still woke up at 6:30 am on the nose and since I was already awake, I hauled my butt out of bed and headed on over to the gym. I’m so glad that I ended up going because this morning’s workout didn’t happen on account of the fact that I got called into work early at the last minute.
Some recent eats:
Oatmeal:
In the bowl:
- 1/2 cup oats
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 cup skim milk
- 1/8 cup dried cherries
- 1/4 tsp almond extract <----- the star ingredient!
- cinnamon
- slivered almonds
- 1 T almond butter
AB+B Sandwich:
(almond butter and banana on sunflower rye bread)
Salad:
(spinach, dried cherries, sunflower seeds)
Watermelon:
Oh, and just for kicks, here’s a picture of me acting like a dork nugget before work yesterday.
I’m off to pack and get some last minute things together before the weekend! I’m working all day tomorrow, then heading straight to Mount Pleasant to hang out with my BFF Melissa. Then on Saturday it’s Brian’s wedding! (Remember how I went to his bachelor party last weekend?
