Monday-Schmunday (Blog Roll)

Ugh. It’s Monday and the end of a glorious three day weekend for me Sad smile If you’re catching up on posts, here are the highlights:


I spent most of the day yesterday chilling at my house and relaxing, but managed to get a few things done, including:

  • working out (20 min Stairmaster, 25 min Arc Trainer)
  • finding a dress for a wedding I’m going to next weekend

Recent eats from the past couple days:

Homemade taco salad with ground chicken + corn on the cob:


Oatmeal with dried cherries, cinnamon, slivered almonds, and 1 Tbsp almond butter:

Plus a spinach salad with dried cherries, feta, sunflower seeds and raspberry walnut vinaigrette:



This morning I woke up bright and early to hit the gym and do this chest and triceps routine (taken from the latest issue of Muscle and Fitness Hers):

I followed my lifting up with 20 minutes of HIIT on the Stairmaster. As you can see from my exercise log, I didn’t make it to the gym once last week because my schedule was so crazy and I had friends in town, so it felt good to get back and start lifting again.

Blog Roll

I’m off to do that whole work thing now, but before I take off I wanted to leave you guys with a short list of some of my favorite blogs. I have been getting quite a few questions lately about how I stay motivated, and of the biggest motivators for me is reading other healthy living and weight loss blogs. I subscribe to and read a TON of blogs, but unfortunately don’t have time to read all of them every day. Here are a few that I frequently check on a daily basis that always motivate and inspire me (or just provide me with a good laugh Smile):

Like I said, these are just a few and there are plenty more than this that I read. I plan on doing a more complete blog roll soon (as well as a FAQ page) and I’ll be sure to let ya know when it’s up!
