Good evening! Hope you all had a great day, mine was busy as usual at my rotation, but tomorrow’s Friday and then I finally get a break! Unfortunately I’ll be working all weekend so I guess technically that’s not really a break, but at least I’ll be getting paid .
This afternoon I munched on a Kashi bar so my stomach wouldn’t try to eat itself while I was at the gym:
And after I got done at my rotation I came straight home, changed into my workout clothes and left for the gym. Today was sort of a random day because I haven’t gotten an upper body workout in a while but I didn’t want to neglect cardio either. In the end, my workout looked like this:
Warm-Up: 15 minutes elliptical
- Assisted wide-grip pull-ups: 2 sets x 10 reps
- Incline dumbbell press: 3 sets x 12 reps
- Incline dumbbell flyes: 3 sets x 12 reps
- Lateral raises: 3 sets x 10 reps
- Front raises: 3 sets x 10 reps
- Cable curls: 3 sets x 12 reps
- Pressdowns (straight bar): 3 sets x 20 reps
Cardio: 20 minutes HIIT on the Stairmaster
It turned out to be a fantastic workout, and I felt just as good walking out of the gym today as I did yesterday.
Dinner With A Friend
Breakfast this morning was another breakfast cookie and lunch was leftover pierogies. Dinner was a little more exciting, however. My friend Curtis picked me up and we went to Chili’s to eat and catch up.
We both ordered the Santa Fe Chicken Wrap, only I got mine with broccoli and he rolled with fries.
This was pretty good! It had chicken, corn, tomato, avocado, and cheddar with some sort of Ranch sauce on the side. Mmmm.
Yummy food = happy Berg.
We spent about two hours chit chatting and catching up; it’s been a while since I’ve seen him! He’s moving back to California next week to finish school and get his Bachelor’s, so we’ve got plans to get together one last time before he leaves for the semester.
Time to make my lunch for tomorrow and get to bed! I’m pooped!
