No Peanuts Means No Peanut Butter

Why hello from Melissa’s hotel room!

I just realized that I never mentioned in Tuesday's post why Melissa was in town. Well, she’s actually here until the end of next week doing some training for her job; she’s being promoted! Her employer is paying for her to stay in a hotel room while she’s up here so that’s where I’m chillin’ right now. I’m so excited because I get to actually spend some time with her for once! Even though we both work all day long, I’m trying to hang out with her as much as I can while she’s here since normally we only get to see each once every couple of months.

In other news, I have a new bagelwich obsession:

That would be homemade hummus, turkey, spinach and feta on an Everything Bagel Thin. I forgot how much I love hummus on sandwiches (and pitas!). I’ve eaten this bagel sandwich a couple days this week for lunch and I don’t see myself getting sick of it anytime soon.

After my rotation I headed straight to the gym to complete this treadmill workout. I’m not sure if it’s because of the fact that my legs are kind of sore from lifting yesterday or because I’m coming down with a cold, but running was even more difficult than usual today. I was glad when it was over not just because it was tough, but because I had fun dinner plans afterward!

Remember Nick?

Well, that’s Melissa’s boy toy and they both met me at Bubba’s for dinner Open-mouthed smile. I had my usual, plus a tasty drink.

While we were enjoying our meals, Nick (who is a manager at a grocery store) informed me of something very alarming:

My mom had actually just told me yesterday that Meijer was practically out of peanut butter and it was the oddest thing. I didn’t think anything of it until I heard about this peanut shortage. Seriously? I have never heard of such a thing. Has anyone else heard about this or noticed a lack of PB at their local grocery stores?

Anyways, the rest of our dinner consisted of the usual picture taking that always happens whenever I’m in a room.

We are so gangster.

We’re also still 15 years old. Did I forget to mention that?

. . .

Oh, Nick thought it would be fun to get a couple of candid shots of us as well. He caught me talking to my imaginary friend:

As well as this ultra flattering picture of me thinking about something disgusting. Probably Nick’s face.

Ok, it’s way past my bedtime and I’ve embarrassed myself enough for one day. Have a good night!
