What a dreary and windy Sunday it is over here. It’s my dad’s favorite time of year, leaf-blowing season.
Last night I got my curl on
And headed up to Ellsworth to enjoy a fun night with my friend Elly and one of her friends. We started our night off with dinner at a local pub in Charlevoix, where she schemed up some plans for the evening:
And spent the rest of the night gallivanting between her house and one of her friend’s houses, who was having a little party in Central Lake. I enjoyed numerous Pinnacle Whip and Diet Verners (my current beverage of choice) and was definitely feeling it by the end of the night.
I also got in some quality time with her cute miniature poodle, Charles:

It was a great night, but I’ve actually been feeling kind of yucky today. I’m not really hung over, but I think that my body is just sick and tired of all of the crap I’ve been putting into it lately (read: sugar) and I’m in serious need of some sort of detox. That’s the goal for this week: eat clean, exercise, and try to rid my body of some of these toxins. Oh and don’t worry, I’m not going to go all maple syrup and cayenne pepper on you – I’m just going to try to fill my body with healthy and nutritious foods and avoid junk as much as I can.
Eats today have been very bland and boring, because that’s all that sounds good. It’s been a cereal kind of Sunday, starting with toast and Wild Berry Kix at Elly’s for breakfast:
And Kashi Go Lean Crunch and banana for lunch:
Now I’m going to lay in bed and read some more of my latest book:

And hopefully get a nap in.
