The No S Diet

Good morning! It’s a beautiful fall day over here.

The trees in our yard are almost totally bare, which means that winter is just around the corner! I have mixed emotions about that season. I hate having to bundle up every time you go outside, and I get sick of being cold all the time; but I love the snow and I think it’s gorgeous, plus I love skiing.


Speaking of cold weather, last night’s dinner sort of reminded me of the perfect winter meal.

Roasted chicken and seasoned veggies, plus homemade cornbread. My mom threw the chicken, carrots, mushrooms, and potatoes all into one pan in the oven and they were all delicious.

I passed on the potatoes because I’m really not a fan, unless they are sweet potatoes or are in French fry form Winking smile.


After dinner, I really didn’t have much on the agenda. I was tired from a long day at work and just wanted to lounge around on the couch. My sister, however, actually had some fun plans. She went to a Masquerade ball with the dancing group that she is a part of, and she had the most awesome dress!

She borrowed the dress from a friend, but made the mask herself. We all thought she looked fabulous!


While she was off dancing the night away, I stayed home and annoyed the heck out of this little girl

And Skyped a little with this guy.


Breakfast today was a small bowl of leftover crockpot oatmeal, plus some Greek yogurt to help fill me up.

The No S Diet

I’m off to another long day at work, but before I go, I wanted to share something with you that I stumbled across something the other night. It’s called the “No S Diet,” and the guy who made it up explains all about it on this hilarious website that you can see here.

The No S Diet consists of three things: No snacks, no sweets, and no seconds; except sometimes on days that start with an “S.” S days include Saturdays, Sundays, and “special days,” such as birthdays and holidays. He talks about how he successfully lost 40 pounds by following these simple rules and I really enjoyed reading what he had to say. He’s harsh, blunt, and tells it like it is, which makes him quite entertaining Smile. I really think he’s onto something here with this No S Diet, and I’m thinking I might try it out for myself!
