Bistro Bella Vita

Good afternoon folks! I hope everyone is off to a great start to their weekend. Mine has been quite marvelous so far.

Then again, any day that starts off with a sunrise like this is destined to be a good one Smile.

Yesterday I had to listen to the rest of my classmates present their clinical seminar projects all day. Remember when I presented mine in January? I was such a stressball and SO relieved when I passed. Half of my class presented on that day and the other half finally did theirs yesterday.

(That’s the room that I presented my seminar in. Pretty intimidating, right?!)

As far as I know, everyone passed yesterday which means that now we are ALL officially done with seminar and that much closer to graduating. So exciting! After the presentations were done, Aimee, Gina and I went out to celebrate (even though none of presented yesterday, HA). We went to Bistro Bella Vita, which was recently awarded the local restaurant of the year for 2012.

It was a pretty large restaurant with a full dining room and a separate bar area, which was where we were seated. Naturally, we all started off with a drink.

Great Harvest Riesling from Chateau Grand Traverse (!!) for me Open-mouthed smile.

We came at the right time! Select appetizers were $4.00 and all of their pizzas were only $8.99. We all decided to take advantage of that deal and shared a hummus platter, which was one of the appetizer specials.

(Tasty AND pretty! Bonus points Open-mouthed smile)

And of course we all ordered pizza.

I went with the Mediterranean pizza, which came with a pesto sauce, spinach, tomatoes, red onion, artichokes and mozzarella cheese.

Absolutely delicious!

The rest of my evening was pretty low key. I went over to my friend Brad’s for a little while before calling it an early night and hitting the sack around 10:30. This morning I woke up and went to a Turbo Kick class, made a tasty breakfast

(I swear I don’t eat Greek yogurt pancakes every day, it just seems like it. haha)

And have been busy running various errands for most of the morning.

Right now there’s some leftover pizza calling my name and then I have some fun plans with Melissa this afternoon!

Have a great weekend everyone Smile.
